Event Overview


This is an event aimed at senior executives from East Anglia and London who hold decision-making roles in their organisations. The keynote speaker, Former Director of MI5, Dame Stella Rimington DCB is perfectly placed to talk about leadership and change.

The day will provide workshops led by experts in each topic, enabling organisations to improve their human capital strategy and maximum business profitability. Delegates can select workshop sessions from a range of subjects including:

  • employment law - hiring and firing senior executives,
  • outsourcing - a key management tool
  • performance improvement through 360 degree feedback,
  • managing diversity,
  • developing talent - leadership scaffolding,
  • employer branding,
  • creating a culture of innovation,

The day is designed to create an environment where learning and networking are natural partners. Workshop leaders will be available for group discussions over coffee in between sessions.

Learning sessions will be interspersed with time to reflect and assimilate the material, while you enjoy the Cambridge experience. If you would like to experience more of the learned atmosphere embedded in Cambridge University colleges, an optional short guided tour of some of the Magdalene College building will be available before dinner.

Studies in recent years have shown that classical music enhances learning and improves well being. During lunch, the choral scholars of Kings College (http://www.collegiumregale.co.uk) will add that an unforgettable Cambridge element and perform pieces from their repertiore.

For those who would like to complete the Cambridge HR Summit with the full experience, dinner in the Magdalene College Hall at the college is an optional extra to provide additional opportunities to network with some of the top HR professionals in the country.

Magdalene College is one of Cambridge University's oldest colleges, established by King Henry VI in 1428.
